Nutrition Environment and Services

Healthy eating has been shown to improve student learning outcomes and help them reach their full potential. The school nutrition environment provides opportunities for students to learn about and practice healthy eating habits by providing nutrition education and food messages throughout campus. School nutrition services provide meals that meet National School Lunch and Breakfast Program standards, ensure the adequate nutrition of all students, and provide food and beverages outside meal times that follow Smart Snacks in School guidelines.
